One Fashionable Week in Toronto

By: Rebecca Belanger
Starting tomorrow, a whirlwind of style will be blowing through David Pecault Square in the heart of Toronto. There will be a small city of white tents stationed in the square, bustling with all kinds of fashionistas all hoping to get a glimpse into Canada’s fashion future. This buzzing air of style is due to World MasterCard Fashion Week.  This event is a star studded week showcasing the Spring/Summer collections for 2016 from great Canadian designers such as: Pink Tartan, Mackage, Sid Niegum, Rudsak, Laura Siegel, Lucian Matis, Matthew Gallagher and so many more.
Regular attendees include a large number of Canadian fashion and non-fashion celebs, and a handful of your favorite bloggers and high-fash socialites. Although WMCFW may be a fairly different beast than that of New York or European fashion weeks, it is most certainly gaining traction, so make sure to check it out if you are in the area. But, be sure to don your best HAI-HA look, because the crowd in the fashion environment don’t play around; and you know you want to be on your A-game. We recommend rocking one of our more bold pieces, perhaps the Laura headchain? Or the Hubby bodychain? Maybe paired with the Cleopatra handchain for that extra bit of sparkle.
If you’re planning on attending, we’d love to see your #WMCFW16 style! Tag us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter with your fashion week outfit.

If you’re interested in going or at least following the shows as they happen, but don’t know when your favorite designer will be showcasing their collection; you can check out the calendar of events here:
